I had to lol when that "race car driver" mentioned how he does auto crossing and "endurance racing" which I assume is 24 hours of lemons. Not trying to be a dick but c'mon, that doesn't make you a race car driver.

So much TV in my life - TIVO'd it, but not sure I'll pick it up steady.

same here, hard to keep up with my shows. It's fairly entertaining.

One of the cats and I are binge-watching MI-5 on Netflix instant. It's riveting, but then again I'm a sucker for BBC police procedurals/spy shows.

Racing cars and being a race car driver are different things, similar to how cooking in your home does not make you a chef.

the guy is an idiot. Welded the rear diff, and added wide/low profile tires, so of course it won't turn. And then he thinks the car is going to be worse after putting the stock 15s back on the car, (one of the tires blew on his "low profile" tires) but obviously that'll be better since the car will rotate better.

Yeah, I had higher hopes for this show. A little more disappointed with the concept than the execution. Top Gear's reinvented cop cars were way more entertaining, functional, and funny.

I was expecting more "building" and less "dumb racing challenges". It was ok, as long as it's not the overused make-a-police-car every episode.

I agree. Top Gear does the driving and these guys should do the wrenching. They definitely needed more than one day to make the cars exciting enough for tv.

No, this show looked terrible, stupid, and over-hyped from the commercials.

I probably won't watch it again after the first episode. The hosts are good, but I just got super annoyed with the "car-guy" contestants.

Sadly, that's true for at least two of the contestants, who are friends of mine, too (won't say which episode, but not episode 1).
